Garmin Airmar B60 Bronze Thru-Hull Transducer – 20° Tilt, 8-Pin, Depth & Temperature

The Garmin Airmar B60 is a
600 W, 50/200 kHz, dual-frequency bronze thru-hull transducer with an 8-pin connector
that
fixes the ceramic element at a 20° angle within the housing so that, when installed nearly flush to the hull, the tilt corrects for the hull’s deadrise angle
. The unit provides depth and temperature data and is installed by drilling through the hull of fiberglass or wood vessels with hull deadrise angles of 16 to 24 degrees.

Technical Specifications

Frequency 50/200 kHz (dual)
Power 600 W
Beamwidth 45° (at 50 kHz) / 12° (at 200 kHz)
Maximum Depth 800–1,200 ft at 50 kHz; 400–700 ft at 200 kHz
Element Tilt 20°
Supported Deadrise 16°–24°
Connector 8-pin
Cable Length 33 ft
Housing Material Bronze
Sensors Depth, Temperature
Weight 7 lbs
Dimensions 12 × 8 × 4 in

Compatibility & Applications

  • Fits fiberglass and wood hull vessels with deadrise angles of 16 to 24 degrees without a fairing block.
  • Not for use on metal hulls.
  • Pairs with Garmin echoMAP 50dv, 70dv, 800xs Series, 1000xs Series, 5x7xs, 7x1xs, and GSD 24 sounders.
  • Wires to Garmin 4x1s, 5x1s, 5x6s, and 7x0s units using an 8-pin to 6-pin sounder adapter (Model 13178355) with GSD 22.
  • When connecting to a 6-pin Garmin sounder, a transducer adapter cable is required.
  • Delivers the same depth performance as the B744V-style thru-hull with fairing block but without interference with water flow or trailering issues.

Installed nearly flush with the hull, the 20° tilted element corrects for the hull deadrise angle and orients the beam directly downward, ensuring maximum echo returns for accurate depth readings
— without the protruding fairing block required by conventional thru-hull transducers.
