Furuno IF-NMEAFI Analog – NMEA2000 Converter
The Furuno IF-NMEAFI is an analog-to-NMEA2000 data converter that
converts analog data from an external sensor to CAN bus format data.
Using a compatible MFD, the unit can be configured to convert one type of analog data to NMEA2000 and outputs specific PGNs for the connected analog device.
Marine electronics technicians and vessel owners install it within a NMEA2000 backbone to bring legacy analog sensors onto a digital network.

Compatibility & Applications
- Connects the Furuno FI-5001/L wind sensor or analog tank gauge to the FI-70 network.
- Configures via Furuno FI70 Data Repeater, TZtouch2, TZtouch3, TZTXL MFDs, or Suzuki SMD7/9/12/16 MFDs.
- Handles a single analog input per unit; multiple sensors require one converter each.
- Fits pleasure craft from small leisure boats up to yachts and mega yachts.
- Wires into NMEA2000 backbones supporting up to 50 devices, a maximum drop length of 6 m per drop, and a maximum total drop length of 78 m per backbone.
The IF-NMEAFI ships defaulted for tank gauge use
and is reconfigured for wind or other analog sensors through the MFD’s Initial Setup menu — eliminating the need for a standalone analog instrument where an NMEA2000 display already exists aboard.
