Furuno MCU004 Remote Control Unit for NavNet TZtouch / TZtouch2 / TZtouch3 / TZtouchXL Displays
The Furuno MCU004 is a USB bus-powered remote control unit for NavNet TZtouch, TZtouch2, TZtouch3, and TZtouchXL multifunction displays, with a front-panel IP56 waterproof rating. The unit installs at helm stations, fly bridges, center consoles, or captain’s chair arms, and is connected and configured by marine electronics technicians and installers.

Compatibility & Applications
- Fits all NavNet TZtouch, TZtouch2, TZtouch3, and TZtouchXL MFD models.
- Requires NavNet TZtouch firmware v5.01 or later; TZtouch2 (TZTL12F / TZTL15F / TZT2BB) v3.01 or later.
- Controls multiple networked displays from a single unit via the Active Display Button.
- Mounts in captain’s chair arms, helm stations, fly bridges, or cockpit/transom positions.
- Wires to display USB port directly; USB hub or repeater cable required for cable runs of 5 m or more.
- Replaces MCU002 remote control units on TZtouch and TZtouch2 installations requiring built-in buzzer and edge-swipe key functions.
A single MCU004 connected via USB to a TZT2BB black-box processor at the main bridge can switch active control to a networked TZTL12F or TZTL15F at the fly bridge, provided that display runs firmware v6.01 or later. The built-in front-panel buzzer reproduces MFD alarms at the remote position — a hardware feature absent on the predecessor MCU002.
